Her international recognition includes the prestigious WOW Award in New Zealand, which celebrates her innovative designs and unique blend of traditional craftsmanship with contemporary flair. With 37 years of experience in the Garment industry as a designer, consultant to export houses, entrepreneur and the winner of Udyogini award.
As a champion of Indian textiles, handlooms and a Khaadi savant she believes in sustainable fashion using India’s indigenous textiles to create more jobs and opportunities for the women weavers from the interior parts of the country.
She has worked towards creating safe working environments, equal pay opportunities and teaching women new skills for women to be financially independent. Giving women a chance to live a life of dignity on their own terms.
